Tierra del Fuego
learn how to travel & plan the trip of a lifetime

Off the southernmost tip of South America, the Tierra del Fuego archipelago consists of a large main island and hundreds of smaller islands around it. The center island, Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, is split between Chile and Argentina. It is the largest island off South America and its most visited.
The most popular destinations are on the Argentine side, including the town of Ushuaia and the Beagle Chanel, but there are some good spots on the Chile side, too. The island is easily accessible by ferry from both the Chilean and Argentine mainlands.
